My daughter's corn was blue several days ago and we knew she was about to shed. I was actually starting to get a bit surprised at how long it had been, and disappointed too, as this was going to be her first shed with us, and my daughter is going to her father's house for the weekend, so if the snake didn't shed by tonight, my daughter wouldn't get to see the pretty shiny brand new snake.

So it was bedtime and the snake still hadn't shed. It was also feeding night so we did that just before my daughter was going to get in to bed. Apparently the little fuzzy mouse was too much to fit in to that tight old skin, because after eating, the snake starting roaming around her cage rubbing on everything. If I hadn't known she was due to shed I'd have been worried because she was rubbing mostly the top of her head, which was causing this weird starting to flip over on her back thing.

Within a few minutes we could see that she had started to get the skin on her head loose. So we just stood there and watched her shed. It was so amazing! It all came off in one piece too, so I think I'll have the corn give shedding lessons to the BP, who just can't quite seem to get a perfect one piece shed.
