I have noticed a lot of people with pvc "chill trees" in their enclosures. Is this reccomended for BP's or not, since they spend almost all of their time on the ground?

I will be setting up a 29G tank, so I will have quite a bit of vertical room, I just think it might be too bulky, especially if the snake wont use it much.
