Hey everybody!

I just have a few questions about Under Tank Heaters.

1. Can they be under a tank that sits on a wooden *Pseudo-wood I think; like ones from Target, but it feels like actual wood* piece of furniture? Will that cause any problems? It said on the back of the package "Discoloration may occur on household furniture", but is that when the UTH is almost directly/or directly on it?
Also, if it isn't safe for any reason, would propping the tank up work?


2. A thermostat should be used with UTH's, correct?
