I am now ashamedly a member of the snake-escape club. This morning when I got back from class, I went to clean my tubs and change water and... Jacob was not in his tub!! I must have forgotten to put cage clips on yesterday. He is so so SO precious to me so my brain immediately went to panicking and tearing apart my room. My door is always closed but has a sizeable crack underneath that he could possibly slide through, and I was terrified that he was somewhere in the house and I wouldn't find him for weeks, plus I am moving out of this place in around a month and a half so it's not like I could continually search for him. After making a huge mess out of ripping through my room I found him curled up under a blanket.
THANK GOD I found him... and so quickly!!
I guess the most important thing to do in that situation is to not panic, and to look first in the places he's most likely to be. But now I realize how hard it is not to panic when your beloved snake goes missing!!
So uhh, moral of the story, as usual, is always check your cage clips!! I'm just so relieved that I didn't lose my precious Jake!!
