I got a little carried away with the lightbox yesterday, but managed to get a couple of nice pictures of a few of my favorite ball pythons.

First up is our lovely little Bowie. We were in a local pet store last year and saw a tank marked "Aggressive Ball Pythons $20". We didn't have any plans on getting any new snakes, but really, I had to see these so-called "aggressive" ball pythons. The employee let us hold a few on the condition that we use a towel and that it was our own fault when we got maimed, lol!

Bowie was hiding in the corner of the tank and I just KNEW as soon as I laid eyes on her that she was coming home with me. She has that nice melty reduced pattern that I love, plus a really pretty olive wash to her sides. 20 bucks for her was an absolute STEAL, she's so cool! Plus it helps that she's super sweet and not at all aggressive. I can't wait until she's old enough to breed someday.

And that pretty little belly:

And our little mojave, Maverick! Or Mojave Mav if you're so inclined. I always wanted a mojave, they're my absolute favorite morph. He's still settling in, but he eats like a pig and is a total sweetheart.

And just for fun, Lemony Snicket shed and looks even better than he did before, so I managed ONE passable picture of him in a brief second where he held still:
