Hi there
I received a very sick gecko about two weeks ago. She was incredibly skinny, had bad diarrhea and appeared very unhealthy. i took her to the vet and he prescribed an antibiotic and dewormer which I have been administrating for the past week. She will not eat. Her stools seem to have settled and she is now able to go in one place (before it was everywhere). I have been giving her water with vitamins mixed in in a syringe and been force feeding her crickets and meal worms. It appears that eating is too much of an effort. She shed last nite but didnt do it very well and i had to help her with her legs and head this morning. She also didnt eat any of it. Her tail appears to have broke somehow a few days ago (absolutely no idea how she managed that) and now its dead. Please please help me with a desicion on what to do about it. I am worried about infection. I have been switching the uvb hood from one of my bearded tanks to hers for several hours a day. Id like to get her her own uvb but i cant afford it. What can I do to make her healthy again?
What is going on with my poor gecko????? Someone please post back to me!
