I had almost the same experience as Zeek (a few posts earlier).

I got my first BP Buddy a little over a week ago. Hes a year old and almost 3 ft long. When I got him, he was in a shed so I was told not to feed him until he was through. Well, he finished a few days ago and so I went and bought a small rat. When I bought "Buddy" the breeder told me he was feeding live mice...but this being my first snake and all and all the conflicting advice about live vs F/T I decided I'd kill the rat first. So I killed it and proceeded to feed my snake...Did the little jiggle for a little while... He came up to it...then just ignored it. I left the room for about an hour once I knew for sure that the rat was in fact dead. When I came back the rat was still in the same place that I put him. So, I took the rat out and hes still in the freezer.

I decided today that I might as well try live mice-since thats what hes used to. I bought 2 since I wasn't sure how many he might eat. I put the first one in this evening and it ran around for a few mins before Buddy got him. And then he just left him there. I came back about 5 mins later and apparently Buddy came back to the mouse and ate him because there was NO sign of the mouse and Buddy had a slight bump. About an hour after eating the mouse he came out of his hide and was looking all around his cage...like maybe he was hungry...so I put the other one in. Its been in there for a while (hes in the same room as I am) and hes ignoring it. I don't know if hes just not hungry anymore or he just wants me to leave him alone...any ideas?
