I'll try to not drag out this story but it might just have to.. Saturday I was pittling around the house around 7:30 in the morning when I get a knock at the door. Apon answering it I see that it is my next door neighbors son. His first and only words to me "that window is broken" and points at my car. I looked and didn't see any busted window. I asked him which one? He then pointed to one of the windows on one of my two garuage doors.
Sure enough there was a huge hole busted in my door window.
I calmly walked over and asked how it happened. By this time a couple of the neighborhood kids had come over to tell their verson of the story. It seem one of the kids not present had felt the need the night before to bust up a concrete block and see how high he could throw the peices up my two storie gaurage front. Well seems one of his throws didn't quite make the grade..
So I asked where the kid lived and how old he was. He lived two doors down and was 12. So I walked down and knocked on their door (after a shower and shave and getting dressed can't be to scraggly)No answer..Several hours later I tried again. Yatzee the mom answered. I explained and she asked the kid if it was true. She then asked how he plained to pay me for the window. Having no money she asked if he could work off the debt.
HHHHHMMMMMMM Work off the debt...
Sure I told her I figured 3-4 hours would suffice and tomarrow would be just fine so as to not interfere with his school work or activities.
Now how do you suppose a guy with 20+ snakes and countless rats keeps a 12 year old busy for 4 hours
Oh Yea you guessed it sunday is cleaning day...
Need less to say that is one kid that will not be throwing rocks at anyones house any time soon..
