On the 28th I offered him up a f/t mouse. He did a defensive strike then clamped right onto it. When I put his hide back in it scared him off and he didn't want anything to do with it again.
So, the next night I gave it another shot with a f/t mouse. He gave a few defensive strikes. Then I hid out of his view and offered again...one defensive strike, then a coil and he gobbled it up. It was a puny little mouse, but he ate something and I left him alone till next feed day.
Tonight I offered him a f/t rat. He sniffed, gave a defensive strike, then immediately clamped on. After he strangled it for a few he dropped it. Made a round or two around his tub. He went back, picked up his "kill" and went into his hide to feed.
He's outta the woods! Looks like he might just be a shy eater...but he's eating! Woohoo!![]()
