So, this Saturday we had to get all the animals out of the house for the day and night because we were having the new wooden floors polyurethaned to seal them and the fumes were going to be bad. Luckily my grandmother lives about 15 minutes away so we just took the whole gang over there--a dog, a cat, three snakes, and all four of us (all of the animals and my brother in my little sebring convertible!!!) to spend the night. As a bit of background info...XD my grandparents don't really like my snakes, and my big girl, Matika, has been withholding her poo for about 3-4 weeks.

So, I've got the big girl in a huge 55 gallon tank (I know, way excessive but my parents have been fighting me endlessly on the tub issue) and the two babies in two small tubs (which I like SOOO much better than the tanks!!) so I was able to just unplug their UTHs and pack them in the car, but my big girl I ended up having to bag and bring her over, then leave her for a few minutes while I went to pick up a tub (I ended up getting something even better but I'll talk about it later) and she was pretty cold, so I decided to hold her while sitting in the armchair.

I'm sure you can see where this is going.

So, I'm holding her and all of a sudden--what's that? It's wet!! Oh no!!! I grabbed her and took off running to put her in the tub, trying to keep it from getting all over the carpet. I put her up and went to check on the armchair, and told my grandma, thinking, "of all the times for her to pee on me..! She has to do it when I'm at my Grandma's, and she doesn't even like the snakes!!!"

So I told my grandma and we got the disinfectant spray and cleaned the couch and then went to see how wet the carpet got. The good news--it didn't get on the carpet a lot. The...other news? It got all over the walls instead!!! It looked like someone had taken a hose and sprayed the lower part of the walls with their thumb over the end of the hose!!! We were both going, "That is a LOT of pee!!!!" (and we both agreed not to mention it to my grandpa since he's less okay with the snakes than her... it was her idea!) Luckily the walls are much easier to clean than the carpet but... I was so embarassed!! But she spent the whole time laughing about it, so it all turned out good.

>.>;; Unfortunately there was an escape incident of one of the babies...X__x;; I need to rename Basilica Houdini. I think someone forgot to clamp one of the clamps on the tub. But we found her luckily, under the bookcase--my grandma saw her tongue flickering out from under the bottom! And the kicker--my grandma doesn't like snakes, but as soon as we got Basilica out she took her from me, started petting and cuddling her and babytalked at her! I think she doesn't dislike the snakes as much as she says.

Anyways, the tub thing; at Walmart I found these sterilite tub stacking things that're made to stack, and they're drawers. They're almost the perfect size for my adult girl and were only $12 apiece, which really isn't that bad at all, I thought! There's enough space at the top for air to circulate but not enough room for any bp no matter how young to get out of, and the tub rolls out really nicely, and since the tub bottom doesn't rub against anything, the UTH (later flexwatt) doesn't rub against anything. It looks pretty nice, too! I'll get pics up eventually. I got two, and have plans to go back and get two more; when my babies get another 300-400 grams on them I'll go ahead and transfer them over. But it looks almost like a rack system, and the tubs are clear so they get light from the front but the sides are white.

Anyways, I just wanted to share with you cause I know you all will be amused by the first story in any case, and anyone looking for decent caging for fairly cheap can look in walmart for the ones I mentioned.
