Ashley, it's perfectly normal for any snake to start looking for food the day before feeding day. Even if there's no prey smell present they will start searching around, lurking out of their hides, that sort of thing. Perfectly normal, a sign of a snake involved and aware of it's surroundings and getting ready to gear up to a good hunt. Usually once ours are in this "zone", we don't bother them at all as they have a tendency to be a bit more snappy and reactive (and that's not fun with some of our big females LOL).
