Alright, so a couple questions as I purchased some 3" flexwatt today along with a dimmer and a 6' extention cord.

1) The flexwatt is run on my racks( one continuous strip) I have removed the female portion of the extention cord and striped the wires. They were then soddered to the flexwatt.
2) I have set the dimmer up where I want it, but my question is how is the dimmer hooked up properly to the extention chord? to i cut one of the wires miday on the extention chordand connect each of those ends to each of the black wires from the dimmer? which would leave one of the wires from the extention chord fully intact from the flexwatt to the outlet?

I looked for a previous thred by all the ones i find the pictures dont show up for me. So if anyone could describe or post pics that would be much appreciated.
