So i just picked up my first RTB and he/she ( not sure yet what it is ) is wonderful. Just a tiny little thing, i was playing with the 4 of them the store had and this one, actually being the larger of them all just really seemed to attract my attention, and was much more laid back and cool while handling, so i chose it, and am loving it.

It ate it's first fuzzy today, set up an old cage i had from the past, bought some new things for it and it's settled in nicely. I'll probably let it get adjusted for a couple of days before i start to handle it again, but i thought it should be announced, seeing how for future situations, i'm sure i'll have some questions.

I'm rather shocked at how much different it is than my ball python, the texture is waaaay different, and they seem to be a more active snake, or not as shy snake i should say. I have 2 hides for it, and some plants and logs and what not, and it's just chillin in the middle of the cage up on the tree relaxing. It's a great feeling, i've wanted this snake for a long time, and after winning quite the large amount of money in poker the other night i was finally able to afford one!

Any pointers or heads up i should know? I've done alot of research, checked out the caresheet multiple times, and am pretty familiar with snakes, but there's always something out there i don't know, i'm by no means and expert, so any suggestions about anything?

Couple of questions: I have the waterdish on the right side of the cage, does location of it mean anything? With my ball python i usually kept it in the middle?

and i'd like to post some pictures of it, how do i get images to show up?

That's about all i got, i know this site is the hot spot for information, always done me well with my ball-python and i'm sure will do the same with my RTB if i have any questions.

Ok i'm done
