The wife and I went for a (too) short trip to San Diego last week, and I finally got these pics uploaded. We only really had one full day, and Robin had never been to Sea World, so that's exactly where we went. The camera was kinda acting up, and a lot of shots just didn't come out, but here are a few.
Giant Grouper
One of my favorite large SW fish, humphead wrasse
This bluespine unicorn was huge! Over 2 feet tip to tail
Not the best pic here, but the archerfish tank is kinda different. It's a bowfront, but bowed from top to bottom, and the water line is in the middle. They fed while we were looking at 'em, but only flake food. I was hoping to see some shootin'!
A couple monster arapaima in the Manatee tank. I'm a sucker for big FW stuff
...and a HUGE red-tail catfish, close to 4'
We saw a ton of garibaldi diving in La Jolla, but this guy was in with the morays
And the star of the show!
Ya gotta love how cheesy the Shamu show can be sometimes, but whatever helps educate the public and raise conservation awareness right?
Overall, we had a great time! Thanks for looking
