I got both my Oscars the other day and they've settled in so I figured it was time for a photo shoot. The albino was feeling quite photogenic, moving right into my frame and changing poses; the red oscar was shy of the camera flash so the only picture I have of him is in his log
This is my 90 gallon. I'm using black gravel, lace rock, and floating plants. One thing I did NOT expect is I have a gross mold-looking growth developing on some of the lace rock. Called the tropical fish store I bought it from and they said it does this and I'll have to scrub it off. Gross. It looks like white fuzz. Other than that it should be safe for all fish, but may raise the pH slightly.
I'm already enamored with these little guys! It's so much fun to watch them eat and I can't wait to watch them go after some frozen bloodworms. They are quite interactive already and I'm just in love.
Edit: I don't know why these look so pixelated upon posting... they were taken with an 8 mp SLR.![]()
