As you all know I work with the baby ball pythons at Pete's. We have a show this weekend up in White Plains, New York. Today he figured out who all he is selling. Let me tell you when I was told all the 06 male Het Pied's were going... I got worried.

I work with a few "reject" baby snakes. These are the babies that would have not made it if they were out in the wild. I love the little rejects & smidges, more then I love the other babies. These guys stand out, need more TLC and it is touch and go with them at times. Man do they pull on my heart strings!!!

We have one who I call "Loopy". He hatched out with a neurological problem and his head "loops" around. He doesn't have much control when it comes to balance and movement. He is one of the 06 Het Pied's. Pete can't sell him since he has those issues.

So he asked if I wanted him. OMG YES!
I'm so so happy he is letting me have him! I guess Chris told him that I know how to care for him and that I finally got him eating on his own. Also he sheds, drinks, poops & pees just fine.

I was so so so scared that he was just going to let him go to just anyone at the show or was going to put him down seeing that he does have issues and maybe not knowing that I had gotten him jump started at life again. I wasn't going to even ask him if I could have him since that would have just been wrong and very rude of me since he's not mine and I only work there.

All I kept thinking was "whoever gets him better understand his issues and needs... he's not normal but he doesn't need to be put in a freezer if he starts to have trouble!!!"

Man I was so happy I got all teary eyed! Yes that is how much those little rejects mean to me!

I can't even say how worried I was when I heard all the 06 Het Pied's were going... First thought was "OH GOD, Loopy!". I feel like a lot of weight has been lifted off of my sholders!
