Last October at the NRBA show in Tinley Park, I managed to find amidst all of the other snake breeders, one man who had rosy boas. Now I have been slightly interested in them for a while because I have a friend who had one and she has been singing its praises since before I got Dax. (our first snake, a male BP)
Well, this man at the show was talking with me and I asked him if rosy boas were as friendly as I had been hearing, he reached into a container and came out with a small snake and handed it to me. It seemed gentle and slightly curious, not as active as a corn, not as shy as a BP. Very pretty, blue and grey, and he informed me this was one of his female breeders, who was not handled on a regular basis and fed in her enclosure. I couldn't believe it, what a sweetheart!!!! I fell in love!!!
My husband promised me I could have one, eventually. Well the reptile show we go to on a regular basis never has them, ever, not in the over a year we have been going there. Last Saturday the man at Offspring reptiles had two. Both young, one Mexican, one Costal San Deigo blue and black, the two color morphs I'm interested in. Can anyone out there say fate?
I'm going to get one tomorrow night. I'll post pictures as soon as possible. I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
