I have been handling my BP regularly and he has gotten progressively calmer, but is still fairly active and exploring a lot when I have him out.

today I took him out later in the day than normal and put him on my lap in the living room....and he just sat still for a half hour or so! He moved a little bit to change position occasionally, but pretty much stayed in a loose coil with his head out in the open. He seemed quite content to me, but I'm sure it's wishful thinking.

After the half hour I put him back in his cage and he moved normally back into one of his hides.

Is it normal for a BP to just hang out and not move during handling like that? He has always been pretty active when handled before.
