Ok so today I got my three new tarantulas. two of them are Cameroon Red Baboon (Hysterocrates gigas) and the other is Brazilian Giant Blonde (Nhandu vulpinus).

One of these guys gave me my first scare.

I took them out of the box then out of their bottles and one by one I unwrapped them from their paper towels they were in and two of them imediately got active and I seen they were fine.

Then I unwrapped the second H gigas. and it didnt move at all it stayed it very still. As stupid was I was acting at the moment I put it really close to my face to see if it was dead obviously a dumb move but nothing happened.

Then I slowly seperated it each toe off of the papertowel real gently because it looked as if it couldn't move then I slowly set it back down into the tank I have it in.

It didn't move at all so I'm like ok its dead then I was about to email botar and tell him its dead and even take a picture of it.

So I went back in the room and used a long stick type thing to nugde it one more time to make sure it wasn't dead and low and behold it rose up and turned around towards the stick as if it was about to bite the stick this kind of made me jump because all this time it didnt move then suddenly before I could blink its alive..I find this very funny because just a few minutes before I had it close to my face so clearly he is alive and well lol.

This is going to be a fun experience with these three T's pictures coming soon.
