Ok my ball python got out of its tub bcause i didnt correctly latch it close so it went into the closet open area which is under our heating vent in the floor.
its a small space but big enough for him to get in and out of. My question is, if I leave some water and a hide with a dead fuzzy mouse inside it will he be able to smell the water and the fuzzy or just the fuzzy? and if I do put the fuzzy in the hide should I just do it at night instead of in the morning so I may have a better chance of catching it and putting it back SECURELY into its hide?..Also I almost had it one time when i seen him near the vent but i only seen his tail, his tail was enough to pull him out by but i didnt want to stress him out more or cause stress in general so disappiontedly i let him slip back into the unknown (per se because i know where he went)
