Classic BP.net Threads for the 2006 Year

Over the last couple of days I've organized my subscribed threads into folders for easier reference. In the process of doing that, I added some threads and deleted some from my listed subscriptions. I reflected on how many interesting and fascinating threads, I've read and took part in over the past 9 months.

I also thought about how many very good, informational, and educational threads get thrown to the bottom of list over time here by bantering threads, bickering threads, picture threads, etc. (Not that I mind picture threads....)

So I thought this would be a good thread to start. What threads did you find highly educational and enlightening over the past year?

It doesnt need to be the most viewed or the longest thread or even one in which you participated. In fact, one the reasons I started this thread is that sometimes we are away from the site and we miss a really good thread.

For example, I thought this thread titled Stopping imports(and a Couple questions) was very interesting. In it I felt I was truly educated......I never thought of ball pythons as animal that could possibly develop into a pest for local people in Africa. This thread discusses some of the ecological management issues that factor into the ball python trade.

If you do participate, please tell us the title of the thread, try to provide an internal link, and tell us why you thought it was a great thread. It can be any topic, husbrandy, genetics, general herp, other snakes, lizards, venomonous.....etc.
