So I can home to find the tank immaculate. The screen was on fine. Nothing was askew, save for a missing snake. 45 minutes of searching later, I found Houdini in the linen closet, 20ft away. Since I didn't see anything wrong with the screen top, I don't know what to fix. My snake is in a 30gallon critter cage with an insulated top. I usually have my door shut anyway, but is there anything extra I can do to protect the snake from trying it again? I have an aquarium tube going into the tank to bubble the water for humidity. I added that Thursday, so I am thinking she escaped through the TINY space the tube occupies going into the tank. Anyway, yeah, I am just a little freaked out. I did minor palpitation and nothing seemed broken or crushed and she seemed fine (and a bit smug, I might add). Anyway, just really worried and wanting to prevent this. I'll take any advice you guys can give me.
