I've been trying to wait till Ma-tsu got this shed done and over with to room her with Neptune, but now I'm thinking perhaps I'm just being silly and should go ahead and move him.

As snakes will do, she took a giant poo yesterday and after I cleaned out her tank I let her cruise around the lip. I ran my hand over her middle back, and she arched up against my hand just like a cat does! Amused, I rubbed my hand back and forth a bit more firmly in that spot, and again just like a cat she arched further against me and did her little odd upper body movement she does when investigating a person or a snake. I call it her "flirty" movement. I tried to get the arching thing on vid, but it's hard to see from the blind angles I used.

Has anyone else had a snake's back arch up for petting like that?

Also, am I being silly to take shed into consideration when placing my male and female together?
