So I have had my BP now for a month or so. It's been in the shedding process for the last week and a half. He's been in his hide all nite and day for over a week. First couple of weeks I have seen him out of his hide exploring. Now he just stays in his hide and doesn't even come out at nite like he use to.
I know it's natural for them to stay out of sight while they are shedding my concern is does a week and a half sound too long for a shed?
His eating is great and so is his poop. It just seems like he is stuck in his shedding mode. He still has shedding in over 60% of his body. Im not sure what the humidity is since I don't have a meter. He has some shed on one side of his eye and the other side is clear. Is there anything I can do to speed up the shedding process? He is in a open top cage. Just a screen on top. The temps are within range. 94 on hot side and 86 on cool.
Please advise.
