Breeding loan
Just thinking for the future as my females are not breedable size yet, but does anyone here do breeding loans for, say, albino, pastel, or pied balls. If so, how does this arrangement normally work? I have 1.2 '06 normals and am looking to get into albino, pastel, and pied ball breeding as quick/inexpensive as possible. Pastel, then albino, leading to pied, spider, etc. would probably be the more likely route though due to the cost of the morphs. I would be willing to keep a 1.1 pair of whatever hets are produced, allowing the morph owner to keep whatever else is produced(2 females approx. 10 hatchlings), or is there normally a set rate for "stud fee".
Just pulling comparisons from the dog world. My brother has gotten the pick of the litter for his males stud fee or vice versa when another male bred his female. Just wondering if the snake world has a similar "unwritten code" about breeding.
Like I said, all this will be at least two years from now. I just trying to figure out how much, if any, money I need to start saving for this.
My original plan was to breed the 1.2 normals I have now, sell the hatchlings, use that money to buy a pastel male and repeat, acquiring a new morph each year. By getting morph hets the first time though, I could skip the normal hatchling phase, eliminating 2-3 years of the process.
Sorry for the long post
