i FINALLY witnessed the ever so exciting lock tonight! i've been trying to give my breeding pairs (there are 3 of them) some privacy but still peek in on them enough to satiate my burning desire to witness some action. so tonight i caught my orange hypo male oscar locked up with matilda--who i have also witnessed laying on her side and wrapped around her water dish and even temporarily convinced myself last week that she MUST be ovulating, but you know if they lay in the right position they do look fatter around the middle than usual... can you tell i'm a newb at this? hey any sign is a good sign right now, i'm just excited i finally saw some proof that the little man knows what to do with his parts. my fingers are crossed!
