I believe my new snake has scale rot, but I don't know the level of severity. Every picture I see online is like a mild controllable case, but hers is so much worse looking. I read they can go septic due to scale rot, and I just have no online pictures to compare to.

TLDR: Would you consider this a severe case? It's definitely not mild, but is it bad or like bad bad?

Backstory:

On Black Friday (November 29, 2024), my mom and I got Twoey (snake). We first saw her a week before and she had a bunch of dirt caked in the affected area. I feared something might be wrong, but she could have just been dirty. She was in shed, and it would just come off. Well when we got her she shed 2 days later, dirt was gone, and this was underneath. I told my friend who worked at the place I got her from and they said she was treated for mites as a precaution and then put in a cage where the substrate was moist about a month ago. So, to my knowledge this is a month old.

Plan:

She is already moved to a sterile cage, paper towels, everything. I'm spraying her 2 times a day with Vetericyn wound spray, and giving her a betadine bath (diluted) once a day, cleaning tub with diluted chlorohexidine everyday. My vet was out this week, next week I'm off when he's not in. So, I'm hoping this can at least do something until I can get her in. It's definitely a dry painful area, cause you can hear the skin wrinkle when she moves.

I figured if anything I can at least have these photos out, so if anyone is in my position, they at least have something to maybe compare to.
