A rack helps to get stable temps and humidity a lot compared to an aquarium style enclosure. The wait time is pretty long right now to get them from most places, but it might be a good idea to invest in one when you can. ARS has a version where you can have different sized tubs in the same rack, so you can upgrade to bigger tubs as they grow without having to get a brand new rack each size. It would be my top choice for a person who wants to have a small collection rather than a large one.

In the meantime, I'd avoid CHE if possible but sometimes for certain types of enclosures, it's what you get stuck with doing if your house is kept cold. Surface temps are more important than ambient temps because of how heat conducts. The ball python is going to pick up a lot more heat (or cold) from the surface it is on than it will from air. 75 ambient is fine, but below that might be a problem.
