    Is Locust Tree wood safe?

    Hi all,

I collected wood from a local park for my new bioactive cage I'm setting up. It appears to be locust wood. It doesn't have any major thorns, but I know some wood releases dangerous gasses as it breaks down. Is locust wood safe for my new cage? Also, how do you recommend I treat it to be safe for my scaly friend?

P.S. if this is the wrong thread then please move it to where it properly belongs
