Well I got chomped finally (bite picture attached)

Last night was feeding night for half my crew, Creamsicle my Cornsnake (getting to be a big boy), got a little over anxious I guess....

I have fed him by hand since I got him last March I believe. Went to take the top off his tank, usually he waits until I put the mouse in the tank and wiggle it around then he will come take it.

Nope not tonite, up and out the top before I realized what was going on.... But he missed the mouse and got my other hand instead

Usually his aim is flawless that's why I feed him by hand. I don't trust the Pythons aim, and the Boa is quick as lightning and hits like a freight train! So it's the tongs with them.

He did hit the mouse on the second shot, then was hanging out of the tank trying to eat it . My daughter came in and helped gently put him back in the tank and close it up

while I was one handed and bleeding from the other Lol

Pics of the damage..... Kind of hard to see but he did leave a small bruise, No ER trip required, I think I'll recover pretty quickly

Wonder if I can call out of work due to snake bite today?
