    Many years ago when I was in college I worked one summer in a commercial greenhouse- it was fun & eye-opening (beautiful plants) but nothing at all like the
    artistry that Richard gets to do. I have a florist-friend who worked landscaping for years, but it sure did take a toll on her body...there's a down-side to this sort
    of work, & for sure you don't want to be on the "bottom rung" for long, but there is something so life-affirming to work with beautiful living things, be they plants
    or animals, & to create beauty in the arrangements.
