Hello all! My 10 month old female ball python was in an alarming pose when I checked on her after I got home from work. I lifted her hide up, but instead of her curling up into a tighter ball, she just lay there motionless. She was still curled up but her head was on top of her body completely sideways!! I could’ve sworn she was dead, it was so shocking. I touched her and it took her a couple seconds before she started moving. I picked her up and examined her whole body, she was moving around tongue flicking like nothing happened. My heart is still racing though. She has a vet checkup a week ago and she got a clean bill of health despite being a little constipated (we’ve been doing water soaks to help with that, but she no longer has sausage butt despite not pooping). She’s also about to shed any day now, one of the reasons I checked on her. Is this normal, it was so bizarre and she’s never done that before. Does this call for a vet visit??
