I'm Tim, from Maine and brand new to the forum. Newbie when it comes to BP's but I did have several snakes as a teenager about a million years ago (gophers, garters and a Surinam red tail. I have two boys (9 & 16) who are interested in snakes so this time around I want to try BP's. So glad I found it as I have been in several car related forums and know the benefits to be had. I know I'm probably several months away from ownership as I want to be as ready as possible before bringing some critters home. Want to attend a couple of shows first with my sons so they can get the feel for the hobby. Will probably do some breeding down the line but not for awhile. Anywho, I look forward to conversing with you all and hope I don't ask too many dumb questions. And yes, I know the "search" field is my friend.Cheers
Best thing you can do AFTER researching ( and you're doing that ) is to make sure you buy a good feeder / eater and ideally one that eats thawed frozen rats /mice ..
I only buy from breeders off the forum as I trust them more than reptile stores who usually end up buying the ones the breeders can't sell then sell them into the unsuspecting public at a relatively high price ...
