F10SC is a great disinfectant. Think Lysol, but safe for reptiles. I use it on my weighing tub, transport tubs, or basically any surface that a reptile has made brief contact with that looks clean but may have germs. I also use it to disinfect crested gecko enclosures/decor after cleaning them with plain hot water. I've heard you can put it (diluted properly of course) in a fogger to treat respiratory infections.

F10SCXD is what I use on anything that is visibly dirty or obviously very germy, like dirty ball python tubs, rat thawing tubs, and feeding tongs. The extra detergent makes a difference when cleaning blood, poop, urate.

Is there a reason why you would use F10SC over F10SCXD? If I'm going to buy one it seems to make sense to just go for the XD version. Also, is there a shelf life on these products after it's diluted.

I've been using Chlorhexidine to spray down my BP and Boa enclosures and was thinking of switching since it's seems the majority on this site use F10 products.
