I'm so happy!

My girl finally had her first shed with me!! I feel so bad, I had no idea she was in shed when I handled her yesterday, but she was so well behaved and had absolutely no blue or milky eyes. I'm recording it so that I'll be expecting another shed in three-four weeks. It was a two-piece shed, but her body looks great save a tiny cap on the end of her tail. I'll watch it to make sure it falls off on its own, or else I'll find a way to help her.

Now that I have a thermostat, hygrometer, a good temp gradient, and I changed her substrate from aspen to Eco Earth, I feel so much more confident as a snake mom, especially given her healthy shed and consistent feeding schedule. I feel that her last meal was a slight bit too big, so I'll find her something a bit smaller for tomorrow's meal. I was at least going to offer, and I'll go a second week if she refuses since she's so new out of shed.

All of my stressing about the first BP is slowly fading, but I'm still aware of and prepared for anything that could change in an instant. I love her so incredibly much!!
