Everything was going really well with Klauss, my new scrub python, until last night. He did musk and tag me once, a few days after his arrival almost two months ago, but he's been super chill since then. I don't know what his problem was last night
. We were getting along just fine. I was showing him off to my SO when out of the blue he musked me again and then bit me for no apparent reason. I don't know if her presence upset him or what. I really thought we had moved beyond this and figured I'd gotten lucky with such a laid back scrub. Needless to say I was pretty disappointed. I kept him out for a few more minutes and he calmed down a bit but I could tell he was still a bit amped up. He even took another shot at me after I opened his enclosure to check on him a few minutes later. Oh well, back to square one.
It actually did hurt a little. Definitely wouldn't want to take a bite when he's 12'+.
