    The rodent breeding is probably what got him noticed, as a colony of 400 is going to smell... well.. rodenty simply because they can't go more than about 15 minutes without dropping a turd. It would be a 24/7 job just keeping up with cleaning them, never mind 130+ snakes and keeping a full-time job to pay the bills on top of it. You can keep that many snakes without them stinking; it's work spot cleaning that many every day but it's doable.
