Hello again! Sorry for posting so much today, just want to ask a couple of questions as I get my cage set up. The ambient seems to be pretty low still, even with a heat mat (76* on the hot side and 73* on the cold side), so I was thinking about ordering a CHE. I’ve heard that these dry out humidity, but I wouldn’t have it on a very high setting, only to raise the ambient. Is it necessary to purchase one? Does it need a special thermostat or would a Jumpstart work (until I have the funds for a Herpstat)? I would rather not purchase unless necessary, so please let me know. (Also, no snake yet. Coming next Tuesday the 28th, so I’m getting his cage set up now.)
