Sans the different scale counts that the Barranquilla Colombian Boa has that differ from typical BCI, can you pick out a visual trait here?
This particular photo really shows the "arrow or spear like" head shape, which is an attribute of BCC, more so the Suri's. That said at the end of his snout it does square off a bit. I'd say in general his head is longer, thinner and less square than a lot of BCI.
The Barranquilla locale exhibits a very laterally compressed body as well. This locale is really neat. I feel like I have a BCI and a BCC.
I was told that Gus Rentfro was very, very close to classifying this locale as pure BCC. I can certainly see why.
Sniper is probably, my favorite snake when push comes to shove. It is hard to believe I'm a boa guy when I only have one and the other three snakes here are pythons.
I love all of the snakes here, maybe I'm not as into my son's royal but she certainly isn't a bad snake. When I'm asked what species I recommend the most, I usually say boa constrictor or carpet python.
Both are very easy to keep, they are active, and they are a more relaxing snakes than retics. At least that is my experience. I only have one of each. However boas and carpets should cover about all of the bases.
Sniper looked really good last night!
