My ball python is currently during shedding, eyes cloudy not cleared yet. His last shed did not went too well ,so Ive been trying to change things up. The humidity has not gone too far from 50, reaching 46% sometimes and low 50s at best these last days.

I filled the water bowl to the top, sprayed some of the coconut fiber substracte and added a wet towel to the top of the screen lid which was already covered by aluminium foil.

Thing is the humidiy doesnt take too long to come back crashing down again after hitting 62%, i think the main problem is the CHE on top by the hot side thats sucking up the humidity constantly, theres very little ventilation since ive covered the whole lid so i cant think of something else. I thought about taking it out during shed process but thats whats keeping my ambient temperatures from falling too much.

What should i do?
