I work at a pet store a few times a week. So the owner got a BP in, and it turns out he has mites.
On one hand, I know I cannot just say "I'm not coming in since your snake has mites." I need the money and have a small "tab" that I need to work off. But I am terrified of bringing some home to my snakes. She is using preventamite now and treating his cage, has been for the past week. But I am still nervous. I guess the best I can do, is to stay away from his tank.
They have a BCI, but she is on the other end of the store.
I really really do NOT want mites in my home. I dealt with ticks before, and that was hellacious enough.
