@ sauzo: damn... that beardie almost looks like she's getting annoyed waiting for her platter of deep fried dubias to arrive!

Delilah weighed in at 480g today, but she was once up to 620g. I had to stop feeding her as much and cut out superworms from her diet and provided a bit less fruit and more greens... I'm hoping the short period of time she was at that weight wasn't the cause of this.
Haha, she loves her butter worms and hornworms. Actually she loves any bug really be it silkworms, butterworms, hornworms, dubias, superworms or phoenix worms lol. She also loves fruit like mango, cantaloupe and blueberries.

I doubt the weight had anything to do with fluid in her lungs. Being overweight has the same effect as people so i was told. Harley gets winded pretty fast and has to take breaks and and deep breathes of air as she is overweight and reptiles dont have diaphragms so they have to compress their ribs to breath. Well Harley being fat, she has the to work harder at expanding her ribs. Also they can get arthritis.

I've tried putting Harley on a diet but she is a diva and stubborn as it comes. She will only eat collard greens and butternut squash. She hates any other veggie and will just wait it out. The second she sees her worm tub, she flies off her hammock and just goes bonkers, pacing, climbing the glass, jumping around. Then she has to take a breather as she gets out of breath lol.

Harley has been fat since a baby. I spoiled her so much. Other than what i mentioned about her, she is fine. I mean in the wild, she would be eaten in a heartbeat though because of her fat little bottom lol.

Couple summers ago though, she leaped in the air about 7 inches and snagged a wasp out of the air and ate it. It flew in through the window and was bouncing off her UVB tube and she spotted it like a hawk and before i could find a paper to wrap up and swat it with, she ate it lol. I freaked out and called my vet and she told me just watch it to make sure it didnt sting her but otherwise, she should be fine as long as the wasp wasnt sprayed with anything. Harley spent the next 30 mins looking around in the air and her lights for another wasp lol.
