Hi,

New to the snake keeping hobby, was going with a Python but its a long story. I recently took my Corn snake out for feeding, decided while he was eating I'd do a full clean up of his cage with new substrate. The original owner had a bag of Eco Earth Coconut Fiber, the snake really seems to like it, long story short, It requires water to expand. Did not realize how much water it held, put it back in its cage and figured by the next day it would be all dry. Its been about 30 hours now and it is still not a hundred percent dry, the Corn snake is still currently in an another empty tank with a heat pad.

Should I continue for it to dry, or am I stressing the Snake out being in an empty tank for so long? Can I put the substrate in the oven and dry it off or will that damage it?
Or can I put the snake back in its cage, have the heat lamp and heat pad going, current temperature in the tank is 70, which I know is bare minimum. Humidity isn't that high which I found surprising but I can feel the inside substrate still is wet. Or do I risk the Snake getting that one issue, from it being wet (sorry can't think of the name)

Sorry for posting in the Python page, but I figured this forum is a lot more active and it would apply to snakes in general and I kinda need an asap.

Thank you!
