Photoshoot- A few pics of everyone.
Per my normal feeding day arrangement, everyone gets taken out and weighed. Decided to get out my camera today and snap a few pics while I was at it, esp as my collection has kinda grown some since I last shared any. I took a number of pictures of everyone, but I think I'm just gonna post the best pic of each, 'cause I'm lazy. Forgive lousy pic quality, my phone camera isn't nice but it's all I have.First some familiar faces. My first girly, Shallan, is growing fast and looking gorgeous as ever. She weighed in at 722g today, and is still my chillest ball python. I took her out, set her on the obnoxious bright pink throw blanket that is the best available backdrop I have for pictures that doesn't require digging through things I don't feel like digging through today, and she just sat there for a good few minutes, while everyone else was like 'MUST SQUIRM EVERYWHERE' from the getgo. Wyrm weighed in at 632g today. She's getting so big and pretty, hard to believe when I first got her she was a scrawny little 60g worm. She's still my most curious ball python, with the most over eager feeding responce. Been bit by her twice now. Both times were my fault, being stupid and smelling like mouse, but she was the only one who acted fast enough to actually get me. I'm so proud of her. I don't know if I've shown y'all Vida, even though I've had her for almost as long as I've had Wyrm, and had her on hold for even longer. She's my beauty. And she also moves faster than any other ball python I've known. I think I could pit her in a race against my corns and I have no idea who would win. Pain in the rear to snap a picture of her, but she's so gorgeous and black and gold and such that it must be documented, even if only with my lousy camera and lighting. She weighed in at 741g, which means she has successfully surpassed Shallan despite being on the same feeder size/schedule and having been near 100g lighter than Shallan when I first got her XD And then there's the boys. These are my newest additions, both taken in from my cousin when she couldn't keep them. Odin will likely be hers again one day, but for now I'm happy to have him around. He's my most finicky feeder usually, but has excellent temperament and is fun to take out and hang with. Especially as he spends the most time of any snake coming to the front of his keep and being all 'I would like out now.' He weighed in at 1558g. When my cousin got him he was already at male adult size of 7 or 800ish. ...Kinda funny to realize he's about doubled his size since then, as he was the biggest snake in our somewhat shared collection at the time. (technically still is, now that he's beat Dalinar. But the girls are growing fast) And Dalinar. He's mine forever (I have to admit, I wanted him since before the owners who had him before my cousin even decided to part with him. Twists of fate have planted him in my hands, albeit with a bit of drama I wish wasn't required, and I'm very okay with this. Funny story, his first owners thought he was female. Named him Missy. I double checked when he was my cousin's, and found out, no, Missy is a Mister. So my cousin renamed him Zeus, but due to the events that put him in my hands, I decided a final rename was in order, something more of my claiming.) He is, for like 10-15 minutes, the perfect 'let him hang around your neck while you play videogames' snake. Then he gets squrimy and adventurous. In his keep, he is one of the rarest to retreat from his hide. Alas he's become more of a finicky eater recently, but I think it's an adult male being an adult male. 'Cause he eats regularly, just not as often as I try to feed him (He's on every 2 weeks, 'cause he was a little chubby when I got him- as I said the first owners though he was a she, and were trying to grow 'her' to breeding size quickly in hopes my cousin would breed 'her' with odin- but he oft eats only every 4. If he keeps that up I may just start feeding him every 4, and save the wasted rats. His weight is staying healthy and all. Actually it's gotten healthy, I think he's slimmed down wonderfully and now is holding pretty well. He's at 1552 today.
