Letting BP explore outside of enclosure?

Zinc, how do you treat the branches you collect from the woods? Do you bake them?

I'm in the uk so it's pretty safe really - I usually trim any bits off , give it a good rub down with a cloth and hose them down outside - a quick spray with extreme solution of F10 and they're fine .
