Insulation and privacy for free standing tub ;)

Most of my tubs are in a rack, so they are somewhat insulated as well as have great privacy for the snakes.

I have one free standing tub and decided to build a "surround" that will offer insulation as well as privacy. My "OCD" made me go a little overboard on the construction, but that thing is solid as a rock, yet light weight. Nothing wobbles or moves, it feels like "one piece construction"

I cut the styrofoam panels and put Alu tape around all edges. Then I adhered the panels to each other with double sided duct tape. I taped more Alu tape over all the seams, inside and out (and all around). Finished off with covering the entire outside with Alu tape.

The Styro lid is removable and the cut-outs on the side are there so I can lower the latches to remove the lid from the tub. There are cut-outs for the heat tape cable as well as the thermostat probe. I'm going to solder a couple holes into the tub to install the probes for heat and humidity. I want the temp/humidity display on the outside. I also have a temp gun and periodically check the temps on the bottom and on top of the substrate.

Here is my little Sunday project
