Hi Guys,

Hope you are well,

I have a Pastel Orange Ghost Ball Python who is 2 years old who is currently not feeding and is extremely active and not spending much time in his hides.

I understand mating season is generally around January and can trigger this kind of behaviour but he has now not eaten for around 6 to 8 weeks and is spending a lot of time outside of his hides and digging up the substrate around the hole where the thermometer comes into the viv.

He was 933g 2 weeks ago and is now 918g - is this drastic drop in weight to be concerned about?

He did this last year around the same time and after around 6 weeks sorted himself out and began to eat every 7 - 10 days again.

His temp on the hot side is around 86 to 88 degrees and his cold side is around 78 to 80 and the substrate is aspen with 2 large hides one cold and one hot which he can fit in snuggly.

If anyone can advise if this is common behaviour or any things I should try to get him back into feeding and stop lifting up the substrate
