    Help Identifying Python Breed

I have taken over taking care for this guy. He and a Ball Python came to the house back when one of the kids friends went to boot camp. Well that's been over three years ago and the kids have also moved out and now I'm trying to get everything setup correctly and take care of them the way the deserve to be taken care of. They told the kids that it was a reticulated but there is no way, the markings don't match. He can be a bit snappy when you get need the lid and strike the lid. I started last week to look online to try to identify what he was and the closest I could find with the markings was either a spotted or a rough-scaled (but the I don't think the scales match and doesn't look like front facing eyes). Can someone help, was originally going to find a home from him but I think I'll keep him and get him used to be held. Paper towel roll trick worked today when I was cleaning the cage. Let him try to strike the roll then pet him with it till he relaxes, then was able to pick him right up without any stress.

    Thanks Scott...
