what does your snake cage look like?

She actually loves her log hide..i havent found why & dont understand why so many people are against them,can you clarify that?if i had insight i might have a different opinon of them too.. but my enclosure came with a large one so thats why i bought a smaller one..she uses it way more than the rock hide and i even tried switching sides with them both and she still went to the log hide in the cooler side..and yes i plan on getting a darker substrate soon,again the stuff i have, i belive is aspen,came with the enclosure

Those hides expose too much of a ball python to keep them feeling secure. The ideal hide for one is something that's closed off all around with only one way in and one way out. And one that is tight fitting for their body. I.e. A reptile basics hide, exoterra cave hide, etc. or if you want to stick w the log, you could seal off one end of it to help w security.

But it's up to you as the owner to decide what you want. If everything is working and you like the way it looks, then you don't have to change anything.
