    Re: why quarrantine?

Do vendors at reptile shows like NARBC not fear this? i handled a lot of snakes from many breeders last weekend, a few requested i put some hand sanitizer on. So do these breeders put all of their leftover show inventory into quarrantine after the show?
Any responsable vendor does quarrantine after any show because if you dont you are asking for trouble

I had no idea they could pass airborne diseases, is there anything that they can have that could make a human sick?
I have never heard of a virus that moved from snakes to man. But who knows what can happen. This is one good reason to make sure you wash your hands after handleing

If i quatrantine into another room of the house or should i just keep them in the same room? Ive got central air...
Anything you can do to limit contact helps do not hold a quarrantined animal then go handle one that isnt.
Wash your hands, and any tongs, bowls, scales exc. before using them again.
Just to add this is also why you should not go to a show then go home and hold your snake. I come home from a show my clothes go in the wassher and i take a shower

Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.
